AN IMAGINATIVE and colourful redevelopment of the children’s ward at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin is on schedule to start in April and be completed by the summer.

In the wake of the Moray Friends of ARCHIE appeal, which raised £142,000 in just over two years, final designs for the project have now been unveiled.

The ward needs to remain open during the work, so a detailed plan is now in place to ensure that the service and standard of care given to patients remains unaltered throughout that time.

The final elements of design have been agreed with ward staff, and the project is set to deliver a real ‘wow factor’.
