ELGIN Sheriff Court is throwing open its doors to the public this weekend as part of the Doors Open Day event in Moray.
The court is inviting members of the public to come to along on Saturday and have a look around.
Three sessions will be available – at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm – each lasting approximately an hour and a half.
As well as a tour of the building and the courts, there will be behind-the-scenes visits to
the cells and a custody van, as well as talks on the role of the courts and the services it supports.
The Scotland-wide Doors Open Days, organised by the Scottish Civic Trust, enable people to visit hundreds of buildings normally closed to the public.
The other courts taking part this month are Aberdeen, Ayr, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Forfar, Glasgow, Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Lerwick, Paisley, Perth, Stirling, the Supreme Courts in Edinburgh's Parliament House and the High Court in Glasgow.
