SPFL Trust Trophy pairs Buckie Thistle with Dundee United while Elgin City could face Banks o’ Dee
Buckie Thistle will play Dundee United’s first and second teams in the national cup competitions next season.
Fresh from drawing the Tannadice club’s main side, who won the Championship last term to return to the Premiership, in the Premier Sports Cup group stages, Jags will also host United’s B team in the SPFL Trust Trophy.
The two matches against United’s first and second string will both take place at Victoria Par, potentially in the space of a week.
Five Highland League sides entered today’s first round draw and two could meet in the second round.
The winners of Buckie’s clash with United’s kids, scheduled for July 30/31, are at home to either Dundee B or Formartine United who meet on the same night.
Brechin City will also double up as they host St Johnstone B, having drawn Saints’ first team in the Premier Sports Cup.
