Buckie secure point at Nairn





BUCKIE Thistle completed tough back to back away games with a point at Station Park on Wednesday night.

Gary Hake's side were twice behind to title-chasing Nairn County.

However, they showed real character to level for the first time early in the second half through Donnie Munro and Graeme Stewart scored his first goal since returning to the club late on to earn a point.

Conor Gethins had given Nairn a first half lead and former Jags' strike Craig Macmillan put them 2-1 up midway through the second half.

Formartine Utd edged closer to the top of the league after a nervy 1-0 win at Keith.

Paul Napier was fouled inside the box in the first half and got up to convert the penalty himself.

Keith's focus will now switch to Saturday's Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup semi-final against Nairn County at Kynoch Park.

Elsewhere on Wednesday night, Fraserburgh beat Turriff Utd 4-2 at Bellslea.
