The Murray Cormie Memorial Pairs event attracted an entry of more than 80 pairs, playing over three days.

The tournament mixes club players with non-players from the local community and the St Aethan's Bowling Club rinks were a hive of activity.

Sunny weather was the order of the day until the Sunday when thunder and lightning briefly stopped play at the start of the final, but resumed after a short period.

Winning the event for a second time were Forres duo Ross and Robertson.

They held off the challenge from the home club's Ian Donaldson and Moray BC's Barrie Andrews, who made a great run all the way to the final.

One of the youngest players in the event, Forres BC's Alana Coutts made it all the way to the semi-finals with club colleague Malcolm Swinswood.

Moray Bowling Club's Rosie Dean and Ian Milne were also defeated in the semi-finals.
