ROTHES have appointed Gordon Connelly as their new assistant manager.

Connelly (50) has managed Forres Mechanics and Wick Academy in the past, as well as a playing career with Dunfermline, Ross County and several Highland League clubs.

He left Wick a year ago and had been coaching at former club County, who he made more than 300 appearances on the pitch for.

Rothes boss Steven MacDonald made his move for Connelly after previous assistant Dan Moore quit last month due to family and business commitments.
