All former junior clubs now play in their respective north, south, east, west and midlands of Scotland leagues.

From the new North of Scotland Football League, newly promoted Championship winners Lossiemouth United will look to pick up from last season’s history-making exploits.

The Premier new boys, who famously defeated Ayrshire giants Auchinleck Talbot on their own patch in perhaps the competition’s biggest-ever shock, are away to Fraserburgh United in round two after receiving a first round bye.

Just two north teams were drawn into the opening round including New Elgin, who will visit former north side Montrose Roselea, who now play in the midlands league. The winners of this tie will visit Nairn St Ninian in round two.

Forres Thistle face one of the toughest ties as they are at home to Broughty Athletic.

The Broughty Ferry outfit finished runners-up in the Midlands League and won the League Cup, and have just signed ace goalscorer Josh Skelly from Forfar Athletic, who scored 11 goals in 68 starts for the club post-Covid in his previous spell.

Rothie Rovers visit Glasgow big guns Benburb, Islavale host Sauchie Juniors and Burghead Thistle face an away trip to either Irvine Victoria or Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.
