MICHAEL 'Mo' Morrison has joined Deveronvale as manager Craig Stewart's new number two.
The 41-year-old has previously managed Dufftown in the juniors, and played for a number of Highland League clubs to great success.
Morrison's playing career began at home town Elgin City, and he went on to play for Lossiemouth, Forres Mechanics, Buckie Thistle, Cove Rangers, Huntly, Inverurie Locos and Nairn County.
He captained Buckie to the Highland League title and has won Highland League Cup and North of Scotland Cup winners medals, predominantly as a centre back.
Stewart, who was confirmed last month as Steve Dolan's successor in the Vale manager's position, said on the club's Facebook page he was pleased with his appointment.
"I know Mo very well from our playing days and he was my first choice as a possible assistant," he said.
"Our football philosophy and views are very much aligned and I really look forward to working with him at Vale.
"We are both very keen to get back to competitive football, although we fully recognise the need to do that only when we have more control of the current pandemic and can reduce the risks faced by players and everyone else associated with SHFL football.”
