Elgin City sign Ross County goalkeeper Logan Ross on an emergency loan in time for SPFL Trust Trophy clash at Kelty Hearts

Ross County goalkeeper Logan Ross will be between the sticks for Elgin City this weekend.

An injury to regular number one Tom McHale forced City to seek an emergency loan for Saturday’s SPFL Trust Trophy third round tie at Kelty Hearts.

County answered Elgin’s call for help by farming the 20-year-old out to Borough Briggs on a seven-day deal.

Ross, who has had previous loans in the Highland League with Lossiemouth, Brora Rangers and most recently Huntly for the first month of this season, comes straight into the Black and Whites starting line-up for the trip to Fife.
