Elgin City hit five in first friendly against Strathspey Thistle

ELGIN City’s first friendly ended in a 5-2 success for the Black and Whites in Grantown on Tuesday night.

Goals from Brian Cameron, Derryn Kesson, Ross MacIver, Rabin Omar and Kyle Willis secured the win over Highland League hosts Strathspey Thistle.

Manager Gavin Price was running the rule over a number of players in his line up with a view to making more signings before the start of the season.

Former Borough Briggs striker Shane Sutherland was also in attendance. The club has been pursuing a move to bring the former Caley Thistle striker back from Peterhead.

City have a training camp this weekend at Aberfeldy where they will play a friendly against Jeanfield Swifts.
