Gavin Price's side begin their 22nd Scottish League campaign as they did their last one, with a match against Stranraer on Saturday, July 31.

Unlike the majority of last season's games played in empty stadiums, it's expected that supporters will be allowed to attend all fixtures in the coming campaign, subject to Covid restrictions.

City visited the Stair Park side in their opener for the shortened last season on October 17, winning 4-1.

Both sides then finished in the top four after 22 matches to reach the play-offs, only to lose to Edinburgh City and Dumbarton respectively in the semi-finals over two legs.

Elgin defeated Stranraer in all three meetings last term, and also finish the regulation season with a match against Stranraer away from home on April 30.

Price's men visit Cowdenbeath in their second league match before taking on a home double header against Albion Rovers and relegated Forfar Athletic.

A Friday night visit to play-off conquerors Edinburgh City ends the month.

League Two new boys Kelty Hearts, who beat Brechin City in the play-offs to earn their place in the SPFL at Brechin's expense, play host to Elgin on September 11.

The sides also meet in the Premier Sports Cup at Borough Briggs in August, with Elgin also playing Arbroath, Dundee United and East Fife before their league campaign gets underway.
