The 25-year-old rejected a new deal at City and is expected to find a club closer to his home base in Brechin.

Spark joined Elgin in the summer of 2019 and was appointed captain by manager Gavin Price.

He featured in the Black and Whites team which finished third in League 2 in both Covid-interrupted seasons of 2019-20 and 2020-21.

What proved to be Spark's third and final campaign with the Moray club was affected by injury in the second half of the season, with City ending up in ninth position.

He scored his only Elgin goal on his league debut ion a 3-0 home win against Cowdenbeath, and made a total of 87 starts and one sub appearance.
