The 24-year-old midfielder comes straight into City's squad for tonight's League Two match at Edinburgh City.

Omar spent two seasons at Elgin, who he joined from Annan Athletic in 2018, and scored eight goals in 53 starts and nine sub appearances.

He rejected another contract at Borough Briggs to seek full-time football which he gained with a move to Championship side Morton in August 2020.

He made just five starts for the Greenock side before being loaned out to Dumbarton for the later stages of last season.

Omar then made a switch to Elgin's League Two rivals Stirling Albion and scored on his debut in a 3-2 Premier Sports Cup win at Cove Rangers.

Appearances in the Binos side were limited and the player was released from his contract at the turn of the year.

City boss Price then made his move for the player, who was also believed to be interesting Albion Rovers.
