Elgin City still undefeated in William Hill League Two after 1-1 draw at Forfar Athletic

Elgin City remain unbeaten in League 2 this season, but again had to settle for a point.

The Black and Whites made the trip to bottom club Forfar Athletic and were held to a 1-1 draw.

The only concern of the first half was an injury to Elgin keeper Tom McHale, who was able to continue after treatment.

City took the lead just after half time when defender Lyall Booth headed home his first of the season.

But just like last week at Stranraer, Allan Hale’s side couldn’t hold on for full points as they were pegged back by Stuart Morrison’s leveller on the hour.

It was Elgin’s third consecutive away match in the league, picking up five points in the process.

They slipped to fourth spot but have a game in hand, and are on Challenge Cup duty next week at Kelty Hearts.
