Aberlour Villa set to mark treble winning season with ex England manager Sam Allardyce to star at event in Moray village
One of English football’s most recognisable managers is set to make a guest appearance at a Moray football club event next month.
Aberlour Villa is set to present A Night with ex-England manager Sam Allardyce at the Fleming Hall at Aberlour on Saturday, November 15.
The club are holding the corporate event for its main sponsors and businesses who have supported them over the last few years.
During his managerial career, Allardyce was in charge of a number of clubs in the English Premiership, which included Bolton Wanderers, Everton, Newcastle and West Ham.
The event is being held as Aberlour Villa enjoyed their best season in their history this year as they won a historic treble.
In August, they won the Moray Welfare League and then followed it up later that month by beating Deanston 3-2 in the Scottish Welfare Cup final in Camelon.
They then completed the treble last month when they defeated Buckie Rovers in the WJ Tewnion Memorial Trophy final in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
The evening will also feature ex-SPL referee John Rowbotham and will also feature John Innes and former Northern Scot editor Chris Saunderson.
Meanwhile, Aberlour Villa are set to host their Awards Day will take place at Pinz Bowling in Elgin on Saturday.
