Final day of Forres Golf Club's Five-Day Open under way

THE final day of a weather-affected Five Day Open at Forres Golf Club is under way.
A thunderstorm cancelled Tuesday's play late in the evening, with no balls hit in anger on Wednesday either.
This meant a shortened competition – and the cancellation of some consolation tournaments – but the round of 16 and quarter final matchplay ties were played yesterday.
Today sees the semi-finals and the finals of the open's three competitions take place.
Play began before 8am, with the last of the final matches scheduled to tee off at 2.15pm.
In the Capri Tray semi-finals, Steven Grant is playing Alan McCann, while Kenneth Fisher takes on Colin Cruickshank.
Both of those matches started around 8am, with the winners due to play each other at 1.45pm.
The semi-finals of the Fraser Cup see Clinton Maxwell take on Scott Little and Campbell Falconer take on Alan Kennedy. The winners will clash at 2pm.
The main event is the Grant Cup, with the final due to tee off at 2.15pm.
The semi-finals are Jake Carpenter v Ronnie Macdonald and Marc Dingwall v Maurice Lindsay.
