Over 60 players from all over Scotland including club members from Moray and Aberdeenshire recently travelled to Moffat Petanque Club to compete in the Scottish Petanque Association Triples competition.

The eventual winners were the Sex Pisteols a team from Fochabers Petanque club comprised of members Derek Adam, Johnny Wilson and Lynn Jenkins.

The trio didn’t have a straight run to the final however as at the end of day one having lost only one match, they were lying fourth overall.

The final was closely contested on the second day, with the team from Glasgow Petanque club ‘PI’ putting up a strong challenge to see and end score of 13-12 for the Fochabers trio.
