Former managers of Elgin City and Strathspey Thistle join new look Inverness Caley Thistle dugout





Inverness Caledonian Thistle have announced two additions to the dugout team that will join Scott Kellacher after he was appointed head coach at the club.

Club Head of Youth Ross Jack and Senior Academy coach Gordon Nicolson will join Kellacher and assistant head coach Billy Mckay as the new management team at Caley Thistle.

They will assistant Kellacher in training and on match days, with the new management team set to make their debut in the dugout when they travel to Dumbarton tomorrow afternoon.

Jack, who is the club head of youth, has previously been manager of Elgin City between 2009 and 2014.

He was also manager of Highland League clubs Turriff United between 2014 and 2018 and Rothes from 2019 until he left in January this year.

During his playing career, Jack played for Everton, Norwich City, Lincoln City, Dundee, Dunfermline Athletic, Kilmarnock, Sligo Rovers, Montrose and Ayr United.

Nicolson was formerly the manager of Strathspey Thistle, where he was in charge for three years before leaving in 2021 to join Inverness where he is now senior academy coach.

Scott Kellacher was appointed the new head coach of Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Wednesday.

It followed the dismissal of Duncan Ferguson who was axed on Wednesday as part of the administration process which came into force on Tuesday.

Former assistant manager Gary Bollan and goalkeeping coach Stuart Garden were also made redundant.

Yesterday, four players, Adam Brooks, Flynn Duffy, Wallace Duffy and Cameron Ferguson were made redundant. Goalkeeper Jack Newman also left the club after his loan deal was terminated and he returned to Dundee United.

No further staff were made redundant as administrators BDO explained yesterday how they have come to their decisions so far and their plans during the administration process.

Alan Savage, who has joined the board of directors, has pledged to provide up to £500,000 to stabilise the club as he works with administrators BDO.

He said he is ready to increase the financial lifeline he has thrown Caley Thistle to £850,000 by the close of administration.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle were deducted 15 points when they declared administration on Tuesday. They are currently on -3 and are 12 points behind Dumbarton in ninth.
