Rothes cup-tie called off again

TONIGHT'S Highland League Cup tie between Rothes and Nairn County has been postponed.

MacKessack Park is frozen, meaning the first round tie has been called off for a second time.

It is the fourth consecutive Speysiders' match to fall victim to the wintry weather.

Of the other ties postponed from Saturday, prospects look brighter for action at Victoria Park where Buckie Thistle take on Deveronvale in a Banffshire coast derby.

An inspection will be held at Kynoch Park at 4pm to determined whether or not Keith's match against Lossiemouth goes ahead.

There is also one scheduled Highland league match tonight, with a 2pm inspection at Mosset Park where Forres Mechanics are due to host Clach.
