IT'S been an 'ace' week for Elgin Golf Club, with three holes-in-one recorded in the space of a week.
Holing your tee shot is supposed to be a rare occurrence but not for Elgin member Margaretta More, who achieved the feat at the Hardhillock course's seventh hole last Tuesday.
Mrs More's ace was the fifth of her golfing career, a 149-yard shot at 'The Road' hole which was witnessed by playing partner Irene Tasker.
Two days earlier, Bill Thomson landed a hole-in-one at Elgin's 150-yard fourth hole while playing with Darren Thomson.
The hat-trick was achieved last Saturday, again at Elgin's par-3 seventh when Paul Wilson put his 159-yard tee shot straight in the hole, watched by Chris Booth.
"Usually you get one every now and then but to get three in the space of a few days is quite something," said club manager John Duguid.
