John Henderson and Scotland to start World Cup of Darts against Hong Kong

HUNTLY darts star John Henderson and his Scotland team mate Peter Wright will start their World Cup journey against Hong Kong.

The tournament, for which defending champions Scotland are eighth seeds, gets underway at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt on Thursday, June 16.

Yesterday's draw threw up a clash with Hong Kong pair Ho Tung Ching and Lok Yin Lee for the Scots.

The tournament's 16 first round matches will take place across Thursday and Friday, with the schedule yet to be announced.

Quarter-final matches will take place on Saturday, with semi-final ties and the final on Sunday.

This is the 12th running of the World Cup of Darts, which Henderson and Wright won in Jena, Germany, last year – beating Austria 3-1 in the final.
