Buckie Rovers manager Neil Mair and goalscoring hero Ross Fiske acclaim Moray welfare football’s Mike Simpson Memorial Trophy final victory over Aberlour Villa





It was a glorious night for Buckie Rovers after adding to their Moray welfare football silverware collection.

Rovers defeated Aberlour Villa at Lossiemouth’s Grant Park on Friday night to win the Mike Simpson Memorial Trophy.

Rovers manager Neil Mair, and matchwinner Ross Fiske expressed their delight in post-match video interviews amidst the celebrations.

The Merson Park club also won the Moray welfare Premier Division title, pipping Aberlour after a superb comeback win in the decider.

They have a chance to complete a trophy treble and a clean sweep in the last match of the season.

Buckie take on Cullen in the final of the WJ Tewnion Memorial Trophy at Elgin City’s Borough Briggs in two weeks time.
