ROTHES and Buckie Thistle have reached the semi-finals of the Highland League Cup.
The Speysiders overcame Keith 3-1 in a Moray derby while Buckie won on penalties at home to Fraserburgh.
Both sides will now await the draw for the last four as they join Brora Rangers and Formartine United in the hat.
Rothes made a great start at MacKessack Park, scoring through Ally MacKenzie's header inside five minutes.
Keith settled into the game and levelled just before the break.
Michael Selfridge took advantage of a spill from home keeper Robbie Donaldson to force the ball home.
Ali Sutherland restored Rothes' advantage early in the second half, scoring a penalty after Steven Anderson had been fouled.
Keith had Andy Smith sent off for two bookings and their challenge was ended by a Craig Cormack goal near the end.
For the second time this season, Buckie and Fraserburgh needed a shoot-out to decide a cup-tie.
Neither side could find the net in the 90 minutes but the tie opened up in extra time after Callum Murray fired Jags into the lead.
Broch hit back quickly to level through Willie West and force penalties.
The Buchan side edged the last shoot-out between the teams but this time Buckie were 5-4 winners to progress.
