Picture special: Moray's Blair Moir shoots lowest 36-hole score at Elgin Golf Club's five-day open

THE strokeplay is finished at Elgin Golf Club's annual five-day open and the qualifiers are set for the knockout stages.

Moray's Blair Moir shot a second round 65 for a scratch total of 140 to finish with the lowest 36-hole score.

He plays Mikey Paterson in the first round of the matchplay today.

A shot further back was Hopeman's Greg Yeates, while home golfer Fraser Baillie and former champ, USA-based Michael Watson scored 142.

Rebecca Grant's rounds of 82 and 79 saw her shoot the lowest ladies' aggregate with fellow home golfer Shone Leese second after rounds of 85 and 80.

Chichester golfer Stephen Crowdle fired two 70s for the lowest seniors' score of 140.
