HISTORY is there to be savoured and that is exactly what the Buckie Ladies FC players, coaches and supporters have been doing since their dramatic win in the Highlands and Islands League Cup final.

In just five years since being formed the club have gone from regular double digit defeats to lifting their first silverware at Nairn's Station Park last Sunday against the holders Sutherland.

As an elated Buckie manager Mel Smith said after the match, it may not have been the prettiest game of football ever played, but her squad dug deep into their reserves of determination and courage to produce the result they deserved.

In this slideshow of pictures from the final, which went all the way to a nail-biting penalty shootout, we share some more magic moments from a truly great day for both the club and the town that is proud to support them.
