A big entry of 336 golfers swung into action this week for Moray Golf Club's 113th five-day open.
Reigning champ Kyle Godsman shot rounds of 67 and 72 to finish lowest scorer in the scratch section, then squeezed out club colleague John Matheson at the first extra hole of the first matchplay round.

Godsman then defeated James Crilly in round two, while 2016 winners Jeff Wright defeated Moray colleague Craig Smith in round one, then ousted another home golfer Ruari mair to reach the last eight.
Two golfers celebrated a hole-in-one at the competition on Monday.
David Main, partnered by Les Crawford and Graham Thomson, aced the 100-yard sixth on the new course. He did so using a lobbing wedge.
On the same course Adrian Styles (Murcar Links), playing with Robin Caldow and Bryan Innes, holed his tee shot with a pitching wedge at the 132-yard fourth.
