RAF Lossiemouth trio raise funds for Ladybird with football ground tour

AN RAF Lossiemouth trio have taken on a whistle-stop tour of Scotland's football grounds to raise money for a local charity.

Craig McInnes (29), Ryan Luke (20) and George Adam (36) visited all 42 SPFL grounds in less than 72 hours and raised £916 for the Ladybird Development Group in Lossiemouth.

The group's tour took place at the start of March, before any coronavirus measures were in place.

The group's third stadium was Borough Briggs in Elgin.

Arnold Clark donated a car to the trio for their journey – and they were even allowed onto the park at Falkirk and Airdrieonians for a kick around and a few penalties.

With the original target to raise £500 for Ladybird, the team surpassed all their own expectations.

Craig said: "The tour was superb. Every year we have a squadron charity and we do events to raise money for them. This financial year it is the Ladybird Group.

"Our target was £500. I thought that was ambitious but we smashed it."
