Boys and girls events were staged at under-11 and under-13 level, with the home school of Knockando prominent in the medals.

Two sisters from Aberlour primary, Evie and Gracie Shortreed battled it out against each other in the under-11 girls.

Both produced personal best jumps with Evie’s mighty leap of 3.28 metres just edging out her sister, who still went beyon the three metre mark.

The Speyside siblings had to settle for second and third place, with Alves pupil Isla Harrison winning in a jump of 3.55 metres.

The Shortreeds had to compete in the morning session as they were taking part in a Scottish Opera event in the afternoon. Therefore they missed the medal ceremony and received their awards at their next training session.
