Team GB bounce back with win over Sweden

THE Team GB wheelchair curlers bounced back this morning with a win over Sweden.

Following defeat to Paralympic Champions Canada in their opening game on Saturday, the GB team beat Sweden 6-4 in their second round robin game earlier today.

With Moray curlers Jim Gault and Gregor Ewan in the side, the Brits opened a 1-0 lead after the first end.

A blank end followed before Sweden levelled in the third end.

Team GB led 2-1 after the fourth end.

The game looked to have swung decisively in favour of the Swedes when they won three shots in the fifth end to lead 4-2.

However, skip Aileen Nelson rallied her side to claim a double in the next end to level the match at 4-4.

And single shots in each of the last two ends helped Team GB to their first round robin victory.

The British quartet are back in action today at 11.30am British time against Korea.
