Ten-in-a-row for Rothes
Moray welfare football side Rothes A made it 10 wins in a row with a midweek goal romp to strengthen their position at the top of the Premier Division.
Sandy Duncan’s side defeated Moray Social 8-4 on Wednesday night, and have now won every match of their campaign so far.
Sean Johnstone scored four times for the Speyside outfit, after Andrew Mackinnon had opened the scoring with an overhead kick Wayne Rooney would have been proud of.
Kelvin Main (2) and Darren Mitchell also netted for the leaders, while Chris Jack (2), John harrold and Andrew Walker scored for the Elgin visitors.
Tomintoul’s winning run was brought to a halt by a Brander side which bounced back from their Bishopmill cup hammering to win 3-1 at Lossie playing fields.
