He said: “Allan Hale and Elgin made a really good start to the game.

“In the first half, they pushed us a lot and were dangerous in the situations around our box. We were a little bit in trouble.

“In the second half, we got more rhythm, got better and created more chances, but still they were dangerous in the transitions.

“I liked the spirit of the Elgin team because they never gave up. They fought until the end.

“We had to be 100 per cent concentrated and give everything. It was a tough game but I’m happy with the chances we created and how we created the chances.

“I like the cups. Here or in Sweden, it’s always the same. You come into the stadium and you feel the passion for football.

“Teams from different levels can play against each other and it’s always a special atmosphere in these games. It’s always tricky.

“It was a good test for us and they did well. We are so happy that we are through and we can finally celebrate with our supporters again.
