Elgin City striker Kane Hester celebrates his Borough Briggs return with victory over East Fife and sees Black and Whites challenging for William Hill League 2 title





Kane Hester was thrilled to make his Borough Briggs return for Elgin City in Saturday’s 1-0 win over East Fife.

And the striker, who completed a move from Montrose in the January transfer window, has high hopes that City can challenge for the League 2 title.

The victory over the leaders, earned by Kyle Girvan’s 10th minute header, took the Moray men to within eight points of the Fifers with two games in hand.

Speaking after the match, Hester said he believes City can go the full distance in the league championship race.

He spoke highly about the current squad and believes the club has been transformed since his last spell at Elgin.
