A LAST minute Stirling goal consigned Elgin City to their fifth straight league defeat on Saturday.

Jordan McGregor headed in a cross from ex-City man Jordan Allan to nick victory for the Binos at the death.

Darren Smith had put Stirling in front on the half hour before Ross County loan player Ross MacIver levelled with the fourth goal of his short spell at Elgin.

With only pride to play for, the Black and Whites showed some improvement from their recent run of losses against Queen's Park, Clyde, Albion Rovers and Annan Athletic.

They looked on course to at least break the run of defeats until McGregor's headed winner.

City must now try to prevent a sixth straight defeat when they make the trip to Cowdenbeath on Saturday.
