THREE consecutive home defeats for Elgin City are a real concern for manager Gavin Price.

City’s 3-1 loss to Clyde at Borough Briggs on Saturday followed on Berwick’s 4-2 success the week before and a 1-0 Annan victory at the end of October.

Price remains convinced his team can shake off their bad run of form and pick up their promotion challenge.

“It’s really disappointing. I think we are better than that,” said Price.

“It’s just something where we’ve got to get our heads down, work hard and try to get it right.

“I’ve full belief we’ve still got the players that are good enough to make a challenge this year for the play-offs.”

Elgin had captain Jon-Paul McGovern sent off during a throw-in incident shown in Elgin City TV match highlights above.

Price said the club would not be in a financial position to appeal a decision he felt was harsh.

But he said he plans to speak to SFA referees’ secretary John Fleming this week to voice his concerns over key decisions which he believes went against his team in the first half of the Clyde defeat.
