SHANE Sutherland was Elgin City’s stoppage time hero in Saturday’s win at Cowdenbeath.

Trailing at the break to a deflected Blair Malcolm strike, City fought back in the second half.

Ross County loan striker Greg Morrison beat the offside trap to level two minutes after the break.

Both teams had chances to win the contest after that but it was Elgin who came up with the goods in the third minute of injury time.

With Cowdenbeath again appealing for offside, Sutherland broke into the box to fire home the winner.

It was the third time this season that Elgin have come from behind to win a League 2 match.

But in their last nine league games, every win has been followed by a defeat and they will aim to break that sequence when they play host to Berwick Rangers this Saturday.
