BUCKIE Thistle needed nerves of steel to see off league champs Brora Rangers in Sunday's Utilita Highland League Cup semi-final.

After twice leading their Sutherland hosts, Jags were taken to a penalty shoot-out on a dramatic afternoon at Dudgeon Park - see SHFL TV YouTube highlights above.

The Victoria Park side prevailed and will attempt to win the competition for a ninth time when they face Rothes in Saturday's final at Kynoch Park, Keith.

Bjorn Wagenaar's equaliser forced the extra 30 minutes, before Jack Murray's header seemed to set Buckie up for a win until Gregor Macdonald equalised late on.

Penalties was a nervy experience but in the end, Andy MacAskill crashed home the vital winning kick for Jags.

Like Sunday's tie, this weekend's final is behind closed doors but will be streamed live on pay-per-view for fans to watch at home.
