Forres Mechanics lost out to two late goals at home to Lowland League side Caledonian Braves.

Mechanics defender Kaiden Connolly was sent off for reacting to a late tackle by a Braves player by nudging his head against the player, earning a straight red card.

With three minutes to go, a coming together in the home box saw the referee incur the wrath of the Forres support by awarding a penalty, which Ross McNeil converted.

A left foot strike by Cammy Breadner sealed victory for the visitors and earned a home tie against Stirling Albion in round two.
