A SWITCH to the centre of Elgin City's defence caused no difficulties for long-serving stopper Matthew Cooper, see video interview below.

Cooper was outstanding in City's 2-1 win over Stranraer on Tuesday night, a result which lifted his team into second place in League 2.

The former Caley Thistle stopper has made over 200 appearances for Elgin since joining in 2014, and has been an ever-present this season.

He spoke about his assist for Kane Hester's goal against Stranraer, his switch from right back to centre half and what the win meant to the team.

Cooper also revealed the toll that City's heavy fixture list is taking on the squad but how it is also bringing all the players together in a crucial part of the campaign.
