WATCH: Elgin City manager Gavin Price assesses his squad and praises defender David Wilson's performance in the 2-1 win over Stranraer

A defensive reshuffle failed to disrupt Elgin City's rhythm in Tuesday night's crucial League 2 clash against Stranraer.

Manager Gavin Price had to substitute rejuvenated centre back Darryl McHardy, who was carrying an injury and picked up a booking during the hard-fought clash.

He called upon David Wilson, who had started just two games this season and not featured on the park for the Black and Whites since mid-November.

Wilson put in a solid performance to help snuff out the Stranraer threat and earned the praise of his boss.

Price also sees great value in striker Josh Peters, who didn't come off the bench on Tuesday but played a part in Saturday's success over Annan.

And the Elgin manager knows he has one of the league's best goalkeepers in Thomas McHale, who pulled off some great saves against Stranraer.
