RUSSELL Dingwall admits Elgin City are behind the pace in their preparations for the start of the League Two season.
But the former Ross County midfielder hopes City can put their Covid problems behind them and put some fitness work in before they take on Stranraer in their opener on July 31.
Speaking (above) after the 3-1 Premier Sports Cup defeat to Kelty Hearts, Dingwall reflected on the three cup losses so far and missing players in the squad.

He rates League Two newcomers Kelty but feels Elgin can pose them more problems once the league campaign is in full flow.
City play their final Premier Sports group match at East Fife on Saturday.
