Elgin City midfielder Mark Gallagher talks about his stunning 40-yard lobbed goal in the Borough Briggs club’s 2-0 win over Clyde in William Hill League 2





Mark Gallagher said his opening goal for Elgin City today was the best strike of his career.

The former Aberdeen and Cove Rangers midfielder’s 40-yard lob opened City’s account in a 2-0 victory over Clyde on Saturday - watch the goal in Gallagher’s post-match video interview above.

The 10th minute wonder strike helped the Black and Whites bring a six-game losing streak to an end.

He spoke about the goal and described it as the best he has ever scored, from the furthest out.

Gallagher also hopes the result can bring Elgin’s challenge for the play-offs back to life with seven games left to play in their regulation season.
