Elgin City defender Kyle Girvan loving life at Borough Briggs after scoring winner in William Hill League 2 clash against leaders East Fife

Elgin City match winner Kyle Girvan says signing up for the long journeys to Moray from the central belt is the best decision he’s made.

The 23-year-old former St Mirren and Stranraer defender netted the only goal in City’s crucial 1-0 win over League 2 leaders East Fife on Saturday - watch the goal in his interview above.

It was the second time this season that Girvan scored at Borough Briggs against the Fifers, repeating his strike for the club’s opening goal of the campaign back in August.

Girvan spoke about his delight at grabbing the winner and helping his team to their second consecutive defensive clean sheet.

And he said he is loving life at the Black and Whites despite the long travel from his Glasgow base.
