And you could win tickets to see a former WWE star or a current heavyweight champion take to the ring.

The World Wide Wrestling League is making a return to Elgin’s Bishopmill Hall this Sunday (October 20).

A touring group that presents American-style wrestling events across the UK, the league has paid a visit to Moray in the past and is aiming to attract a big crowd to the Elgin venue.

Confirmed to take part on the bill is former WWE star Joe E Legend. The Canadian wrestler made a big breakthrough in his sport in 2000 when, after a series of try-out matches he was signed up by the American governing body WWE to fight in televised bouts, competing as Just Joe on the Heat programme in front of a huge TV audience.

He later appeared on British TV as one of the lead trainers in the Celebrity Wrestling reality programme.

Joining him on the Elgin bill are some of the biggest names on W3L’s touring roster including reigning W3L heavyweight champion Mike Musso, who will defend the championship against arch rival ‘Original’ Craig Stephens.

The bouts will be recorded for W3L’s popular YouTube series Wrestling Showdown which can be viewed every week at W3LNetwork.com to give fans a taste for W3L action before attending the live event.

The tour’s promotion team said: “American Wrestling is extremely popular with families and children. The World Wide Wrestling League hosts some of the biggest names in wrestling from the UK and abroad.
