The 59-year-old, who played Highland League for Deveronvale during his own playing career, replaces Frank McGettrick who stepped down at the end of last season.

He has also bossed Celtic and Motherwell women’s teams, and in men’s football he managed several sides including Lochee United, who he steered to the Scottish Junior Cup final, and bossed Montrose and Airdrie in the Scottish League.

As a player he had spells at Montrose, Deveronvale and Huntly. While at Vale in the mid-90s, he scored seven goals in a match at Nairn County.

“Lossiemouth FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Eddie Wolecki Black as the club’s new manager,” said a Coasters’ statement.

“Eddie joins us with a wealth of experience having previously managed Lochee United ,Montrose, Glasgow City ladies, Caledonian Braves, Airdrieonians, Motherwell ladies, Celtic ladies and Tayport.”
