Sjt DAVID DENOON MM (1892 - 1919) Remembered with Honour at Cologne Southern Cemetery, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. In Memory of my Great-Uncle, David Denoon, born in Pluscarden, the eldest son of David and Jessie (Murdoch) Denoon, latterly of Moss of Meft, Elgin. Davie joined the Gordon Highlanders in 1915 and served with the Lovat Scouts and the Cameron Highlanders on the Western Front, where he was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field in July, 1917. He died on 2nd June, 1919, just 26 years old. Davie never married and was very dearly missed by his parents and his family in Elgin, Aberdeen and New Zealand.
