Police stop man driving under the influence of cannabis in Elgin on the A96

A MAN has been caught driving under the influence of cannabis in Elgin.

The 28-year-old male was stopped this morning (October 31).

Officers from the North East Road Policing Unit were conducting winter safety checks on the A96 at East Road this morning when they stopped a Toyota Corella.

After stopping the driver of the vehicle, officers discovered that the 28-year-old had been driving under the influence of cannabis,

Police say a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
