Travelling from Moray: A96 blocked near Huntly after serious two car crash

A section of the A96 is blocked in both directions following a two-car crash.

The fire service said two appliances were called at around 4.20pm to the scene of the incident at Bainshole, which is between Huntly and Inverurie.

Firefighters used cutting gear and stabilisation equipment.

The police and the Helimed ambulance also attended.

Motorists are advised that side roads are being impacted by drifting snow and caution should be used.
