“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is closed in both directions with diversions in place.”

The speed limit through on the road, currently 50mph, has been a constant point of contention.

Moray's MSP Richard Lochhead held an on-site meeting with Transport Scotland, Police Scotland and Amey at the end of September with regards to the incident blackspot.

After the meeting, Transport Scotland committed to carrying out a speed survey and Amey promised a review of signage.
