Six nights of resurfacing work is planned for a section of the A96 between Keith and Huntly from Wednesday onwards.

A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night at the turning for Coachford, which is about three miles from Keith.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East representative, said: "This project will help address defects in the road surface on this section of the A96 near Keith, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.

"The traffic management is essential for everyone’s safety.

"However we’ve taken steps to minimise disruption for motorists as much as possible during the project, including carrying out the work overnight and removing all traffic management during the daytime."
