Work is going on to knock down the old high school in Lossiemouth.

With pupils now being taught in the state-of-the-art complex next door, the time has come to say goodbye to the old place.

After being flattened the site is set to be re-grassed and used as playing fields.

Over the years thousands of folk were taught at the old school.

The bulk of it was built in stages between 1974 and 1979, with various other parts added afterwards.

Its successor cost £42million and opened in April, following the completion of construction work by Balfour Beatty.

The new school building can accommodate up to 800 students in total and features a swimming pool, library, games hall plus a 3G sports pitch in an area the size of Trafalgar Square.
